My wife and I want to take a vacation in April. We live in NH and we are soooo sick of snow already. We cant wait to be somewhere warm. What are some fun places to go in Florida with a 1 yr old baby? We were looking at Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Key Largo but we are open to other suggestions. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
As far as orlando, we probably wont go to the disney parks. Are there any other things in the area to do?

The Keys will be the opposite of snow and cold! Its amazing. Amazing beaches and prominent place for swimming and visiting Hemingway’s house with all of his polydactyl cats.

Orlando…disney theme parks for your baby. The shows are amazing and very oriented for children.

And I don’t know much about Ft. Lauderdale. Miami native.

With a 1 yr old with you i suggest staying in the Orland area you have Disney there and Universal as well as you would be with a short trip from many other parks when a small child would have fun as well.

Disney World is always fun but I would suggest waiting until your kid is older so that they can really enjoy it. I’ve spent a lot of time in the Clearwater Beach/Tampa area. It’s a lot of fun. There’s a lot to do there. There’s an awesome pirate ship that takes you on a sight seeing tour. It’s a lot of fun for the kids. It’s a beautiful beach. There are a lot of small beach town around Clearwater Beach that have some great shops and a lot of places to visit. If you go make sure you eat at Frenchies. They have 2 locations at Clearwater Beach. They have awesome fresh seafood (make sure you try the baja fish tacos), delicious sangrai, and melt in your mouth fried oreos for dessert.

First ask yourself.. Do you want a bunch of hussle and bussle (plus traffic) then I would suggest Orlando. There are so many things to do in Orlando you won’t run out of places to visit.

Or do you want to relax? If so, head to Key Largo although if I were your family with an infant I’d head to Islamorada instead. There’s more to do there than in Key Largo. There is a sea aquarium and you’re only about a 30 minutes drive from Bahia Honda State Park which is absolutely one of the best beaches in Florida.

If you’re looking for something in between, head over to the west coast and visit Sanibel Island.
