How do I have fun on a family vacation as an only child?

If you’re 17, perhaps they will allow you to be on your own around wherever you’re staying? Also, two words. Pool and Beach.
Since you are not of legal age on this trip..just get the “lay of the land”. Look at everything that’s offered to you. The next trip you make will be fantastic. Don’t know if you are male or female. Doesn’t matter. Dare your Dad to go snorkeling. Ask your Mom to go shopping with a guide (without the ol’ man). They have “scooters” there. Go for a ride. Lot’s of stuff to do.
Where in The Bahamas are you going. If Atlantis there’s lots that you can do on property so it won’t be a real issue. If Nassau you don’t exactly want to go it alone. Freeport is pretty laid back and you can roam on your own. especailly in Port Lucaya because of the setting you can do lots in one area and there will be others around your age that you can meet and hang with. The Beach is always great too!
No matter where you go in the bahamas you will meet kids your own age. Check out the pools, arcades, etc, and join in whatever activities and games the resort has to offer. Believe me.. the bahamas is very family friendly and there will be lots of kids.
If you go to a resort with a older kids club, like Atlantis Club Rush.. go one of the first nites you’re in town and meet new friends.
The internet cafe’s/computer library at your hotel are also a good place to meet people.
Im leaving tomorrow for Cuba with my parents. Im turning 17 this coming tuesday and im also a girl who is a only child. Seriously just enjoy the beach and pool(work on the tan). Also I find when i go to resorts there are alot of other people around my age to hang out with if im interested. Does your place have a teen disco? If so try that
