You live with an overworked family that cares about money not fun (they are probably renting or going to sell their other house, because what otehr point is there to fix up a second house just to fix it up? Get older and better pace yourself than your parents.
Why don’t you ask them if you can take a friend with you? I wasn’t an only child, but my brother and I never got along growing up, so it was like I was one. I used to drag an easel, a set of paints and brushes and a few canvases with me to paint. even if you suck, time passes quickly. or take up sewing. buy a cheap machine, a dress form, material and a pattern and teach yourself how to make clothes. Get your parents to pay for it all. hope this helps.
make sure you pack a great exciting book,and also crossword puzzles,if you can take exciting music and learn to appreciate the true art of quality time. If not get self help book on starting yoga techniques because you sound high strung on this trip u need to relax and rest.
