If you are looking for attractions, the top 10 attractions on Yahoo! Travel are:
1. Fremont Street Experience at 425 Fremont Street. A 24 hour light spectacular.
2. Bellagio Fountains outside the Bellagio Casino. (Biggest water feature in the world)
3. Gondola Rides at the Venetian Casino. (Led by your own Gondolier)
4. Stratosphere Tower at the Stratosphere Tower (America’s tallest)
5) We Will Rock You (Ben Elton musical based on the music of British rock legends Queen)
6) Red Rock Canyon (featuring 3,000 feet high cliffs)
7) Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat (great place to take the kids or for wildlife buffs)
Shark Reef (state of the art aquarium);

Vacation rentals are fun and the houses look very nice, but the fun of Vegas is staying on the Strip. That would be my suggestion. personally I don’t think you can beat the price of the Monte Carlo for being a nice hotel right on the strip. You can get really good rates at excalibur if the castle theme appeals to you. Otherwise, try Rio a little off the strip, but they have a free shuttle to Bally’s which puts you pretty mugh at the heart.
That would be my suggestion.
